A Grand Brunch for VIP Guests of the Starr Trust

The Starr Trust hosted an exclusive brunch at The Grand, Brighton, to launch this year’s busy calendar of fundraising events including; The Winter Extravaganza Ball, Bristol to Brighton Bike Ride as well as the annual Golf Day at Mannings Heath Golf Club. A number of VIP guests attended the brunch in the prestigious Empress suite overlooking the sea. Guests included charity Patron and Olympian Robin Cousins MBE as well as Actor, Big Brother Winner and Ambassador to the Trust Jason Burrill who spoke at the event about why he supports the Trust.

Guests also heard young Starr Sophie and her mother Victoria tell their story about how the Starr Trust has changed their lives: "The Starr Trust has been like a third person in the family that has been a pillar of support and has helped us keep hold of the things in life that give us joy" said Victoria.

The Starr Trust have officially opened bookings for the Bristol to Brighton Bike Ride this June as well as the Winter Extravaganza Ball which takes place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on 18th November this year, and will feature high-energy funk band Oomphf amongst other exciting cabaret performers!

Patron Robin Cousins MBE said: "It was a lovely brunch and very warm room, reception wise. It’s great to know there are so many lovely people who believe in the Starr Trust and most importantly, the vision to help see it through. Great to hear of all the lovely events coming up which I trust will sell out and deliver more vital funds for those we support."

During the event, charity Chairman Rob Starr spoke about an exciting new project by the Starr Trust that will launch later this year and invited businesses to register their interest.
